Welcome to Scout
Scout is an analysis tool to visualize, interpret, and run summary statistics for First FTC/FRC team scouting critiques.
Scout is currently in basic development, it is written in C# for .Net 4.5. We plan to be able to support a multitude of tests and graphing utilities to make it easier to see which teams are best for alliance partners. Furthermore Scout is free and forever will be!
Features
What does Scout currently do?
- Graphing:
- Statistics:
- Data Storage:
- SQL Database:
Scout can currently graph the spread of autonomous points, teleop points and level of defence of every team entered for every match.
Scout can currently provide summary statistics for autonomous and teleop scoring for all matches of a single team. Scout can also provide analysis of standard diviation and average of scores for each team's autonomous and teleop plays. These are both automatically graphed on a bar graph for visualization.
All the data entered into Scout is put into an xml file that can store autonomous, teleop, penalty, team number, team name, match number, alliance colour, and comment information.
You also have the option of storing all your collected data in an SQL database. This is very usful for having organized historical records of competitions and allowing many people to use Scout at the same time (since all the data will be going to a central location)!
Other Stuff
Scout is still very young and under development, so yes there are things that don't work too well right now. So please just use it to it's current maximun productivity.
